Beverl Edward Waite, Sr. 83 of Providence, RI passed away on May 9, 2025. He was the Son of the Late Ambrose Waite and Constance Barbara Stanton. Beverl was a soldier in the United States Army. Later he worked for IMH, and then worked for over 30 years at Electric Boat as a welder. After that he worked at Fox woods casino as a security guard until he retired. He also gave back to his community by being a coach for the Woodlawn(Mount Hope) Cowboys where he shaped and molded many young boys into men. Beverl is preceded in death by his grandmother Beatrice Stanton, his Wife Gail(Perry)Waite, his brother Lemoyne Waite, his son's Brian Waite, Shawn Waiite, Richard(Kojo) Taylor. His mother and father in law Antone and Iris Perry, his brother in law Antone Perry Jr, his granddaughter Elissann Silvia, Dalesha Godette, and his great grandson Omari Chance Robinson. He is survived by his brothers Ambrose Waite Jr.(Elizabeth Waite), Dennis Waite(Muriel Waite), Lemoyne Lowell,(Milady Lowell), John Lowell(Christena Lowell), and Howard Cosores(Holly Cosores), Kenneth Pickering, and Dean Pickering. His sisters DeeDee Ruth Lucas, Nora Bailey, Valerie Luna(Gus Luna), Johnnie Frances Lowell, and Terrie Loud. His children Iris Waite, Beverl Waite Jr, Adrian Waite, I'Loner Weaver, Lance Waite, Anika Taylor, and Kristen Waite(Mario Johnson), his Daughter-in-law Lesley Waite, and his sister-in-law Wendy Aranoff Waite. 40 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren and a hostnof nieces and nephews. Beverl was a gentle giant; he was a father to many in the community. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and loved fishing. He was a passionate spades player, and he loved his Dallas Cowboys (win or lose), spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and enjoying his vanilla ice cream with strawberries. Beverl never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a poppy to many people and a father figure to all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 9am-10:30am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln followed by a funeral home service starting right at 10:30am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
